The excellent www.4×4calendar.co.uk site has a good listing of December events: http://www.4×4calendar.co.uk/show.php?y=2009&m=12 – I missed my local one, the Dundry 4×4 Day though a seized transmission brake! The RAC were called to free it, and luckily the patrolman I got did his apprenticeship on Landrovers, but even after freeing it with a sharp knock from a copper hammer it was still dragging and still needed work – the recent heavy rain and surface water has got in and probably mixed up with a years worth of dust – it’s in the garage now for treatment!
